This year the English Day's topic was Shakespeare because it's the four hundredth anniversary of his death so this led us to organising all sorts of activities related to his life and works. During the day the Nursery and Primary students had the opportunity to participate in outdoor games, crafts, board games and class activities through which they not only learned facts about William Shakespeare but also used English as a means of communicating and interacting with each other. Like every year, we started off the day with an opening ceremony where the 4th ESO students and teacher Edgar dressed up as Shakespeare and characters from his works and presented this year's theme to the audience. The English day finished with a closing ceremony in which three students received an award for their logos. Then, we sang the English day's song, which was written by some 4th ESO students, and watched a video with a compilation of photos taken during the day. We had a great time and we are looking forward to next year's English day!

Aquest any el topic de l'English Day ha estat Shakespeare ja que es celebren els 400 anys de la seva mort i gràcies a això hem pogut organitzar tot tipus d'activitats relacionades amb la seva vida i obra. Durant el dia els alumnes d'Infantil i Primària han tingut l'oportunitat de participar en jocs a l'aire lliure, manualitats, jocs de taula i activitats a l'aula a través de les quals no solament han après coses interessants de William Shakespeare sinó que han utilitzat l'anglès com a mitjà de comunicació i d'interacció entre ells. Com cada any, hem començat el dia amb una ceremònia d'obertura on els alumnes de 4t d'ESO i el professor Edgar s'han disfressat de Shakespeare i de personatges de les seves obres i han presentat el tema d'aquest any al públic allí present. L'English day ha finalitzat amb una ceremònia de clausura en la qual tres alumnes han rebut un premi pels seus logos. Després, hem cantat la cançó de l'English Day, que ha estat escrita per alguns alumnes de 4t d'ESO, i hem vist un vídeo amb un recull de fotos que han estat fetes durant el dia. Hem passat una bona jornada i esperem amb ganes l'English Day de l'any vinent!
