The students of Level 6 experimented with light and heat in Science. They realised that white light is made up of seven colours through an activity called "Newton`s disc". When the disc is rotated, the colours fade to white. Isaac Newton demonstrated that white light is a combination of the seven different colours found in a rainbow. They enjoyed this activity!
Moreover, they experimented with heat in groups. We made two funny experiments:
1) A heat conduction experiment with hot water and butter (the students discovered that metals are good heat conductors).
2) "Convection Snake" is a demonstration of convection (hot air rises) that involves hanging a spiral of paper above a heat source and seeing the spiral rotate.

Els alumnes de sisè van realitzar diferents activitats sobre la llum i la calor durant les darreres setmanes a Science. Van poder comprovar que la llum blanca és descompon en diferents colors mitjançant el Disc de Newton (en fer-lo girar, s'observa el color blanc). Aquest científic va demostrar que la llum es compon pels colors de l'Arc de Sant Martí.
També, es van dur a terme experiments per comprendre la conducció i la convecció de la calor. El primer consistia en desfer tres trossos de mantega mitjançant materials diferents -fusta, plastic i metall- dins d'un got amb aigua calenta; i el segon en comprovar com l'aire calent d`un radiador té la capacitat de fer moure una serp de paper en moviments circulars.
