A new project has started in Lleida city. At Santa Anna school the students from 1st grade are going to do a new Interdisciplinary project called Building Bridges. Every year the students from 1st grade work on a different one, and this year it is about building bridges in a 3D programme on their computer.
This project involves 4 different subjects: Technology, English, Catalan and Audiovisual Production.
The students are organised in class groups of 4 or 5 children. In each subject, the students have to do a different thing: in Technology they are doing the technical part of building a bridge using a programme called West Point Bridge. In English they have to do a news article aboout the whole project. In Audiovisual Production they are doing a PowerPoint for an oral presentation that they will have to present in Catalan class. What a great project!
The project started 3 weeks ago on the 9th of January, and it will end at the end of term, with 7 sessions per subject.
The students are exhausted, but impatient to see the result!!
