In 3rd Year we are working on vocabulary related to “aches” and to the modal verb “must/mustn’t” to give instructions. To put it all into practice the teacher suggested doing role-plays in pair to act out the role of a doctor and a patient. First of all we did an activity where we had to write down which instructions a doctor would give a patient with a headache, earache, temperature, flu etc.. which we chose from different images which the teacher showed us, while using positive or negative form of the modal verb “must”. After that she gave us an example conversation for us to use to make up our own with our partner. We wrote it on a page while choosing which illness we wanted to act out from all those we had worked on in the previous worksheet. After, the teacher gave us a few minutes to practice our role-play and when we were ready we acted it out in front of our classmates. Here are the results of this activity - we hope you like them!

Què et passa?

A tercer de Primària estem treballant el vocabulari de les malalties i també el verb modal “must” i “mustn’t” per donar instruccions. La senyoreta, per tal de poder-ho ficar tot en pràctica, ens va proposar la idea de fer un roleplay en parelles on un representaria el paper de doctor i l’altre de pacient. Per tal de dur-ho a terme, primer vam fer una activitat prèvia on havíem d’escriure en una fitxa quina instrucció utilitzant el verb modal "must", en la seva forma positiva i negativa, li donaria el metge al seu pacient en cas de tenir mal de cap, mal d’orella, febre, grip, etc. que havíem de triar d’entre una sèrie d’imatges que la senyoreta ens mostrava. Tot seguit, ens va proporcionar un diàleg de model per poder fer el nostre propi amb la parella. El vam escriure en un full tot triant quina malaltia volíem representar d’entre totes aquelles que havíem treballat a la fitxa anterior. Després, la mestra ens va deixar uns minuts per practicar el diàleg i quan ja vam estar preparats ens van llençar a representar-ho davant els companys. Aquí teniu els resultats de l’activitat!
